MiLE 21's 2nd full length album is due out in Febuary!!!
::CD Release Concert POSTPONED(Due to medical emergency) until Friday, Feb 19th::Venue: Math 100
For four long semesters, we have been gigging away and tracking with Tony Huerta at Sonic Audio Productions in Denver every chance we get. With financial help from our friends and family, and a few anonymous donors, we have successfully raised enough money to complete our second full length album. We honestly could not have done it without your unwavering love and support, and for that we are eternally grateful. We would like to repay you for all your generous contributions and we are going to do it MiLE 21 style.

This album, which has yet to find it's name, is going to be revolutionary. It is going to make a lasting mark on the acappella community. Recently, with shows like Fox's "Glee" and NBC's "The Sing Off" drawing national attention to our niche, MiLE 21 is poised to make a strong statement with this CD release.

In recent years, we have strived to venture outside the traditional acappella box and try new and exciting things. While at first, this was merely an idea born out of dissimilar interests between the various members of our group, it has grown to become a challenge that we as a group have accepted and embraced.

Can that be done A Cappella? NO! .... Well, maybe. Let's give it a shot!

This attitude has remained at the forefront of MiLE 21's pioneering attitude, diversifying our repertoire and leading us to 3 consecutive "Best Ensemble" titles in the budding midwest competitions now affectionately coined "Mile High Vocal Jam."

Appearing on this wonderfully eclectic album:

Ameno - Era

Crazy - Gnarls Barkley

Man In the Hall - State Radio

La Noyee - Yann Tiersen

The Chain - Fleetwood Mac

Represent (CUBA) - Orishas

The Way I Are - Tibaland

Vem Magalenha - Sergio Mendes

And Much much more!

M21 is recording a new CD!
::MiLE 21 2009 CD Project. You can help!::
After winning the Colorado A Cappella Competition two years in a row, we've been in the studio using up all of our free credit at Sonic Audio Productions in Denver. We've run out of credit now and we're gigging like crazy and selling our dusty old CD's so that we can bring you something fresh. We've got a few tracks down but recording is an expensive process and we are still all full time students as well. If you'd like to help us, you can make a donation to the project. Any amount will help us but donations of over $200 will be officially recognized on the CD's insert. Recording is really the only way that we can have something to remember our time here by.It also allows you to have something a little more permanent than a performance to enjoy for years to come. Please help us in this endevor!

We accept all forms of payment

Why we sing...
A balanced human mind incorporates the realms of the absolute and the artistic. The academic requirements of college often stifle the artistic and require the absolute. MiLE 21 seeks to foster the creative aspects of its members and anyone in contact with the group.

Through music, students have the opportunity of expression--the idea is to help everybody realize their potentials, and in turn, make the world a better place.

Brief History...
Mile 21 A Cappella has been at the forefront of the Boulder vocal music scene since the Spring of 2004. Founded by CU students Chris Carey and Graham Fuller, Mile 21 has been consistently wowing audiences at the University of Colorado-Boulder and the surrounding community. Specializing in innovative harmonies, cutting-edge arrangements and no shortage of vocal pyrotechnics, CU's newest co-ed a cappella group is dedicated to breaking new musical ground and exploring the limitless potential of the human voice.

The ensemble generally consists of twelve to sixteen singers from all years and fields of study at the university, and they sing a diverse repertoire of pop, rock, hip-hop and jazz tunes. They give public concerts every semester, and are available for private and charity performances. "Sing" is Mile 21's first full-length studio album, recorded at Coupe Studios in the spring of 2006. In fall of 2007 they won first place in the Colorado Collegiate A Cappella Competition.
